SHARON STONE was a huge threat to married women at functions at the height of her career - because she’d show up without a date.
The Basic Instinct star insists she was always happy to attend launches and parties alone - but it was perceived by other women that she was on the prowl for someone else’s man.
She tells More magazine, “I was born the Week of the Loner on the zodiac, and I guess that’s why years and years ago I started going to black tie events solo.
“It was shocking - it was a ‘not-done, what-is-she-doing thing’. People thought, ‘Oh, she wants my guy’.
“You’re either a lesbian, ill or after their man. I couldn’t want their guy less.”
