Pompeo Leads Cancer Prevention Campaign

ELLEN POMPEO is urging women to take better care of their health as part of a new cancer prevention campaign.
The Grey’s Anatomy star, the daughter of a cancer survivor, insists women are often too busy looking after their loved ones to prioritise their own wellbeing.
But her new initiative, which launches on Tuesday (04May10), stresses the importance of exercise, maintaining a healthy weight and early screenings, which can all help prevent cancer deaths.
Pompeo tells Reuters, “Cancer is something that touches everyone’s lives. Women are busy taking care of other people. This is about choosing yourself. My daily schedule is quite hectic, but I have to put my health first in order to be the best mum and wife I can be.”
