Lynn Redgrave: Vanessa Redgrave Sister Dies at 67

Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) Renowned movie and stage star Lynn Redgrave who is also the sister of fellow acting legend Vanessa Redgrave, died at her home in Connecticut on Sunday night ending her seven year long battle with breast cancer. Her cancer was first diagnosed and treated in 2003.
She left behind her son Ben and daughter Pema and Annabel. They were with her when she died.
Our beloved mother Lynn Rachel passed away peacefully after a seven-year journey with breast cancer.
Her children said.
She lived, loved and worked harder than ever before. The endless memories she created as a mother, grandmother, writer, actor and friend will sustain us for the rest of our lives.
Her family is in deep mourning and they have asked for their privacy in their time of grief.
Lynn Redgrave began her acting career in 1962 as she appeared in Royal Theater Court production of A Midsummer’s Night Dream. She then went on to appear in films like Tom Jones and Georgy Girl. She was nominated for Oscars twice. She was nominated for the best actress in 1967 for her role in Georgy Girl. After this movie she rose to fame and she was again nominated for best supporting actress for her role in Gods and Monsters.
Redgrave’s stage credits include one-woman play Shakespeare For My Father, Mrs Warren’s Profession and The Constant Wife. These all received Tony nomination. She was awarded an OBE for her service to drama in 2002.
Her parents were actor Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson. She was the third child and Vanessa Redgrave was her sister.
