Charlie Sheen loses $1.5 million

LONDON - Actor Charlie Sheen will lose over $1.5 million after cancelling two episodes of his TV show Two And A Half Men because of his stint in rehabilitation centre.
“Instead of doing 24 shows this year, we’ll be doing 22. But 22 is a full order. They had asked us to produce two additional episodes, which we normally do. But we won’t do it this year,” contactmusic.com quoted programme executive producer Chuck Lorre as saying.
Sheen, one of the highest paid stars on US TV and reported to be getting $825,000 for each episode, had to cut two episodes as he had to spend time in a rehab for alcohol and cocaine issues. It apparently disrupted the show’s production schedule.
He had reportedly hired a “sober coach” to accompany him on the set to ensure he stays straight while attending rehab at night.
“Charlie wants to get clean. He’s got his demons and he knows it. He’s doing everything he can right now,” said a source.
