LONDON - “Britain’s Got Talent” star Susan Boyle will receive her biggest birthday present next month - a $6 million pay cheque.
Boyle will become a multi-millionairess on her 49th birthday on April 1. The payout comes from her worldwide appearances and sales of her chart-topping debut album, “I Dreamed A Dream”, which went platinum in six countries, reported mirror.co.uk.
It broke the British charts record for the fastest-selling debut album in history, with 3.1 million bought in its first month. In other places, she has sold more than 8.5 million copies.
“Every day Susan wakes up having to pinch herself. She cannot believe how the public has taken her to their hearts everywhere. She has not wanted for anything since finding fame and now she will reap the benefit of her hard work, said a source.
Its her first taste of what serious money is like and its all hers, added the source.
One of Susans first investments is likely to be a new luxury home with tight security near her home town of Blackburn, West Lothian.

Brava! Perhaps the recording industry will now notice that there are those of us out here who would like to hear some real music for once? Perhaps the industry will notice that there might be a lot of us out here who are middle aged and would like to listen to something sweet, melodic and harmonious — would liek to listen to someone who really has a voice? Susan Boyle has put out a fabulous album. Perfect in every way. She’s not just a passing human interest story — she is singing out for all of us sensible, middle-aged people out here. |
