BANGALORE - Telugu actress Swathi, who made a fantastic debut in trend-setting Tamil film “Subramanyapuram,” will in all probability act in her first Kannada film with “Hatrick” actor Shivaraj Kumar.
This will be the 99th film for Shivaraj, who has already announced that his 100th film will be “Jogayya,” to be directed by Prem.
Confirming that he has approached Swathi for the role, the film’s director Chandru said discussions have almost been completed. “But the dates are yet to be finalised. I am prepared to narrate the story to her if she agrees to act in this film. The heroine’s role perfectly suits her,” he said.
Swathi was an anchor for the MAA TV and her programme “Colours” was the most popular programme among Telugu television viewers.
She got a break in Telugu film “Aadavalla Maataluku Arthaale Verule,” which had Venkatesh and Thrisha in the lead roles, but she was noticed well in her debut Tamil film “Subramanyapuram,” directed by Shashikumar.
