Malayalam film industry controlled by some: actor Thilakan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - Malayalam thespian Thilakan, who is angry with the two film organisations and a superstar for denying him an opportunity to act in the new film “Christian Brothers”, alleges that the film industry is under the control of a few few.
“The Malayalam industry is now controlled by a mafia which consists of a superstar and a few from the two film bodies (FEFKA and AMMA). Many for fear of being sidelined are silent. I am not going to be silent, I will fight against this gross injustice. You wait and see,” said Thilakan who is in the industry for five decades.
Speaking to IANS, the veteran actor said that both FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) and AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes) and a particular superstar are against him. He did not name the superstar.
“They are trying to take vengeance against me because I acted in a film directed by Vinayan, who was against all these groups. But I am not going to take this lightly. I will take the fight into the enemy camp,” said 74-year-old Thilakan, who was honoured with a Padma Shri last year.
Talking about director Joshy’s film “Christian Brothers”, he told TV channels: “Producer Subair came and paid me the advance and took 25 days from me in November last year. But later he called me and said ‘they’ are opposed to my acting in the film, because the superstar has said that it is a prestige issue for him,” said Thilakan.
The Malayalam film industry currently has two reigning superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal.

mammootty and mohanlal is still the SUPER POWER in malayalam film industry. thilakan is not only the old man, we have Mr.Madhu and Mr.Nedumudi Venu still having a good relation with all malayalee and malayalam film industry. This man cannot say that malayalam film industry is not good, whatever he is today because of the indstry, he should not forget it. Without any evidence making statement on somebdoy is not good Mr.Thilakan, this is your industry problem, all these should have solved within the industry instead of talking infront of media and spoiling relation and reputation of all. i have read somebody calling bustard to the satrs all because of you.. these people do not have any respect nor they get it back, do not know what they read and what to write..these are uneducated people or what can i say.. Now i have to tell you that .. now you are old .. you please SHUT UP and enjoy your work rest of your life.. stop playing all these nasty games.. |

the BEST actor after SATHYAN IS ofcorse THILAKAN. NO BODY CAN BEET THILAKAN IN ACTING.Without THLAKAN MALLU FILM INDUSTRY WOULD BE NOTHING.NOW MALLU FILMS ARE BASED ON REALITY. MAINLY BECAUSE OF HIM. Me and my friends have decided not to watch mallu movies any more without the greatest actor THILAKAN. ABU AND FRIENDS OMAN. |

This is ridiculous that two superstars are deciding everything in Malayalam film industry. I am wondering that the youngsters are madly behind these stars in the form of fan’s association. They don’t have any other job. Come on brothers and sisters please please please don’t go behind this assholes think productively and do something for the country, family and for you.
