Murphy Loved Christmas With The Family

BRITTANY MURPHY’s grieving family will struggle through the Christmas holidays because the festive season was the tragic actress’ favourite time of the year.
The Clueless star died after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Hollywood home on Sunday (20Dec09), aged just 32.
Murphy always looked forward to the winter holidays because Christmas was all about getting together with her loved ones.
She even expressed her desire to one day take her own kids to join in the festive family fun - and her presence is sure to be missed when her relatives gather on Christmas Day (25Dec09).
When WENN caught up with Murphy in 2006, she said, “Our whole family gets together for Christmas no matter what’s going on in our lives, even if we can only meet for half a day. We all go to New Jersey. We’re a close knit family; we’re closer as a unit than we are separately.
“That’s something I would definitely take on to my own children one day and something so important to me. It’s my very favourite time of year. It’s so magical seeing the different generations of my nieces and nephews and their eyes light up and the joy and exuberance. There’s a lot of music around and delicious food and dancing. I’m very fortunate to come from a good family that allows for creative freedom.”
The cause of Murphy’s death has been “deferred” pending toxicological results, although an autopsy on her body was completed on Monday (21Dec09). Officials previously stated they believe the star died from natural causes.
