Coroner Defers Cause Of Murphy’s Death

The cause of BRITTANY MURPHY’s sudden death has been “deferred” pending further tests, following the completion of an autopsy on her body.
Examinations carried out on Monday (20Dec09) - just a day after Murphy suffered a cardiac arrest at her Los Angeles home - found there was no evidence of foul play, reports TMZ.com.
Sources tell the website the Los Angeles County coroner will wait for the result of a toxicology report and a study of the actress’ organs, tissues and brain, before releasing the cause of her death in four to six weeks time.
Insiders claim Murphy’s body appeared “normal” and had not been subject to physical trauma.
