WASHINGTON - Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood was made an honorary mascot of a French soccer team Olympique Lyon, while he was in the city to receive an award at the first Lyon Film Festival.
The 79-year-old Eastwood was marched to the field before the start of the team’s match against Sochaux, last Saturday, reports Contactmusic.
He was presented with a Lyon jersey with his name emblazoned on the back, after which he ceremonially kicked off the game amidst heavy showers.
However, Eastwood’s presence could not ensure a win for Lyon, who suffered their first defeat of the season. (ANI)
