Jackman And Craig Play Interrupted By Noisy Phone

HUGH JACKMAN and DANIEL CRAIG halted their Broadway play on Wednesday (23Sep09) to lambast a member of the audience whose cellphone rang repeatedly.
The actors were both onstage performing their New York City play, A Steady Rain, when the pesky phone began ringing, reverberating throughout the venue.
Jackman tried to ignore the sound but it continued to blare, prompting the Australian to look into the audience and blast the inconsiderate theatregoer.
He kept in character as he ranted, “You wanna get that? You wanna get it, grab it! I don’t care, grab it. Grab your phone. It doesn’t matter.”
When the phone continued to ring, he shouted, “C’mon, just turn it off - unless you got a better story and you wanna get out and tell your story!”
The audience laughed and applauded their efforts, but minutes later the phone rang once more, prompting a frustrated Craig to shout, “Can you get that, whoever that is? Can you get it? We can wait, just get the phone.”
Jackman joked, “Don’t be embarrassed, just grab it. We’ve all done it!”
