LONDON - The story behind the biggest cash robbery in Britain is reportedly set to become the subject of a Hollywood movie.
Renowned director Darren Aronofsky will purportedly helm the project based on the theft of 53 million pounds from a Securitas depot in Kent three years ago.
According to Variety magazine, the ‘Wrestler’ filmmaker will also co-produce the movie, reports The BBC.
The film will purportedly be based on Howard Sounes’s book ‘Heist: The Inside Story of the World’s Biggest Robbery’ in a deal between XYZ Films and Time.
Five people were sent behind bars for their involvement with the heist that saw the kidnapping of the depot manager and his family held at gunpoint. (ANI)
