Music Launch: The Unforgettable with Mahesh and Pooja Bhatt

Mumbai, 18th of August, 2009: Vandal Movies in association with Multi Media Combines released the music of their forthcoming English film “The Unforgettable” at PVR JUHU. Music Director Ismail Darbar has scored the music, which is being released on HOM Records. Present at the function were Director’s of the film Arsala Qureishi and Sabrina Louis, along with the Music Director-Ismail Darbar. Eminent Personalities from the film industry Mr. Mahesh Bhatt and Ms. Pooja Bhatt did the honors of unveiling the scintillating music. Amidst all the glamour and energy the evening saw the emergence of Ismail Darbar’s yet another incredible composition.

Ismail Darbar was first noticed and highly acclaimed for his mind-blowing music in Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam followed by Devdas. Some of his other films include Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, Deewangee, Shakti-The Power and Baaz-A bird in danger. His first movie since Kisna (2005) and Mehbooba which released last year, is this English film THE UNFORGETTABLE directed by Arsala Qureishi and Sabrina Louis, for which he has composed the background score, and Hindi songs Tanha sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Toote Hue by Kunal Ganjawala. The album also has two remixes along with two theme tracks.

The music of The Unforgettable will be available on HOM Records.

The film will release on 11th of September 2009 in India by Multi Media Combines.

Arsala Qureishi the director of the film spoke like an extremely satisfied captain, “The music of the film takes the audience into a realm of passion, exuding a beautiful raw energy that only a master composer like Ismail Darbar is capable of. Long after the curtains are drawn, you remember the characters by their music pieces first, then their faces.”

The music album consists of a track called ‘Tanha’ sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. Kunal Ganjawala has lent her voice to ‘Toote Hue’, which is an emotional song and will move one’s heart. Besides, the composer has created two remixes. The lyricist of the above tracks has picked up the right words to suit the mood each of song.

Speaking on the Music Ismail Darbar said, “It was my wish to compose music for an unconventional film and my wish has come true with this album. The lyrics just touched my heart and I have tried to bring out the meaning of the words in a similar heartfelt manner. The singers have sung beautifully, doing justice to the compositions. Hope the listeners like the music.”
