Award-winning American composer MARVIN HAMLISCH is to be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at Belgium’s Ghent Film Festival, marking his outstanding career.
Hamlisch shares the rare honour of being awarded an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, a Tony and a Pulitzer Prize with late American composer Richard Rodgers - and will be handed his latest accolade during the festival’s 17 October (09) World Soundtrack Awards.
His credits include musical scores for numerous films including The Way We Were, starring Barbra Streisand, and original Broadway musical A Chorus Line.
The 36th Annual Ghent Film Festival is set to run from 6 to 17 October (09).
