Morgan Freeman in talks to star in thriller ‘Red’

WASHINGTON - Actor Morgan Freeman is reportedly in talks to star alongside Bruce Willis in an espionage thriller, titled ‘Red’.
The script for the film has been adapted from three book series of the same name, that is ‘Red’, published in 2003 and 2004.
The film tracks the story of a former black-ops CIA agent living a quiet life in retirement, until the day a high-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him, reports Variety magazine.
The film is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian, with DC exec Gregory Noveck serving as exec producer.
Erich and Jon Hoeber are penning the script for the film.
Freeman is also toplining Nelson Mandela biopic ‘Invictus’, which is being directed by Clint Eastwood for Warner Bros., and has a December release date. (ANI)
