WASHINGTON - ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ director Danny Boyle was left starstruck when he met legendary actor Clint Eastwood during this year’s awards season in Los Angeles.

Boyle revealed that he had a reason to be so excited about his encounter with Eastwood because he could boast to his father about meeting a movie icon.

“I met Clint Eastwood, because as part of the awards season they do these dinners for directors who are ‘in consideration’, as they say, and they put you all together in a room,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

“So I met Clint Eastwood, and that impressed my dad - and not much impresses my dad! He thought, ‘Clint Eastwood, blimey!’ That was wonderful, actually, and to meet him was a real thrill. Extraordinary!

“He makes everything seem easy, and he makes the making of his films seem so easy as well - and they’re not all like that! So he was great,” he added.

Boyle also revealed that he generally did not get so excited about meeting a celebrity.

“I don’t get so starstruck meeting actors, but I do meeting directors and writers,” he said. (ANI)
