DHARAMSALA - The Tibetan government-in-exile will organise a two-day film festival here June 12-13 to commemorate its 50 years in exile.
“The film fest will screen 17 Tibetan films at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. It’s being organised to commemorate their 50 years in exile,” the Tibetan government-in-exile said in a statement posted on its official website.
The films to be showcased includes “The message of the Tibetans”, “Dreaming
of Tibet” and “Mystic Tibet: An outer, Inner and Secret Pilgrimage”.
Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama along with many of his supporters fled Tibet and took refuge in this Indian hill station in 1959. The Dalai Lama has ever since been heading the government-in-exile from here, which is not recognised by any country.
