Tom Hanks fears constant scrutiny of old films may end his acting career

WASHINGTON - Tom Hanks is scared that his blooming acting career would one day come to an abrupt end because critics keep reviewing his oldest films.
The ‘Forrest Gump’ star, who left college to pursue an acting career 30 years ago, has now become one of Hollywood’s most successful leading men.
However, despite his successful track record, Hanks is convinced his success could shatter at any minute.
“(Each film) lasts forever that’s the thing… Years from now, three, four, five years, everybody’s film is recalibrated,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
He added: “(Critics ask) if it’s worthwhile or not, whether moments are proper or authentic or if it really has some purpose in some human zeitgeist… so every day, no matter where you are in the world, it’s petrifying when you think about that. I’m walking that tightrope.” (ANI)
