LONDON - Tom Hanks has stopped plaguing Ron Howard with calls to act in one of his movies because the filmmaker has been rejecting the offers for the last 11 years.
Actor-turned-director Hanks revealed that he had been trying to persuade the former Happy Days star for a long time to return to TV miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, an Emmy-winning project co-produced by the duo, and co-written and co-directed by Hanks.
However, the ‘The Da Vinci Code’ star has finally surrendered his dream of directing Howard, who had been hopping the offers.
“I tried to get him to do some of the miniseries things we did,” the Daily Star quoted Hanks as saying.
“I tried to get him to come down and be in From the Earth to the Moon and he passed on a couple of things here and there. (He said), ‘Hey, it’s just not a good time,’” he added. (ANI)
