Hugh Jackman’s perm almost made him lose Wolverine role

WASHINGTON - Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that his hair perm almost made him lose his action-packed role in ‘Wolverine’.
Hugh, who had got the perm for his role in a musical called Curly in Oklahoma, revealed that his perm put off Dougray Scott, the casting director of Wolverine.
“I was doing a musical in London at the time, playing Curly in Oklahoma - so I had a perm in my hair,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
“So I put the hat on to do the audition and about halfway through, the casting director was like, ‘That was great, could you do one without the hat? I can’t really see Wolverine wearing a baseball cap. I took it off and I read about two lines and she goes, ‘Cut, put the hat on - now!’” he added.
However, luck favoured Hugh when filming of Mission Impossible overran and Scott was asked to complete the flick first, that is when Hugh re-auditioned and the rest is history. (ANI)
