Bindu Subramanium and Matthew Santos Together bringing ‘WHEN IT’S DARK’

Matthew Santos recently had a smash hit across the world with the song called SUPERSTAR with LUPE FIASCO. He and Bindu Subrananium sang together a song called ‘WHEN IT’S DARK’ written by Bindu Subramanium.The song has already generated much acclaim in the circles it has been previewed. ‘When It’s Dark’ was recorded in Bangalore and Chicago with Indian and American musicians.
Bindu will surely be an international singer when her album will be released in early 2009. As one who have listen to her English songs totally admire her voice. Some of her listener said, “ she will achieve some thing big internationally, may be she will be the first singer from India who can win number of awards as singer of English songs”. She has lot of potential not only as singer but also as composer; she had even written the lyrics her self for her songs and for those who are not aware that she is the daughter of great violin player L.Subramaniam and renowned play back singer Kavita Krishnamurti. We wish all the best things in Bindu’s life because when she opens her eye on this earth the atmosphere is totally musical around her.
When she approached the world famous singer Matthew Santos for a duet for her album he asked her to sing some thing for him and after listening to few lines, he stopped her. Bindu was a bit afraid and felt that her singing is very bad but to her surprise he promptly ask her, “ when can we record the song and the very next day duet song recording was over. So lets wait and watch who is coming is singing arena which will rock the industry.
Bindu has collaborated on projects with many great artists, including Dr. L. Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, Al Jarreau, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, Larry Coryell, Corky Siegel, Matthew Santos, Pandit Jasraj, Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna, Pankaj Udhas, Hariharan, and Remo Fernandes and recently working with Matthew Santos, song called ‘When It’s Dark’ written by Bindu and to be released on her solo album to be out early 2009.
Bindu has taken her music across the world, performing at prestigious venues like the Lincoln Center (USA), Esplanade (Singapore) and KLCC Twin Towers (Malaysia). She has also performed in Switzerland, Mauritius, Oman, Germany, Romania, Poland, Australia, Norway, Sri Lanka and extensively in India, where she is based. She has also been a regular performer at the Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival. Bindu was a part of the recent Visions of India tour (October 2007 – January 2008), a smash hit across India, attracting crowds of over 13,000 people. The Visions of India Album was released in August 2008.
Matthew Santos Currently based out of Chicago, 25-year old has established himself as one of the rare and striking voices quickly emerging from the Windy City’s music scene. He released his first independently produced album Change is Better in 2004 and EP As a Crow Flies in 2006. In November of 2007, Santos released an acoustic album Matters of the Bittersweet under Candy-Rat Records.Santos’ vocals are featured on multiple tracks on the Gold Record "The Cool" accompanying Grammy Award winner hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco. Their collaboration is best known on the successful chart climbing single "Superstar." Santos signed to Fiasco’s 1st and 15th label under Atlantic Records in the fall of 2007.This past year Santos joined Fiasco on his world tour, including appearances on MTV’s TRL and Spring Break, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Late Show with Craig Ferguson and a debut talk show performance on David Letterman’s first live show after the 2007 Writer’s Guild of America Strike. They opened the 2007 mtvU Woodie Awards and performed on MTV’s 2008 VMAs.
