LOS ANGELES - Pau Gasol scored 19 points, Andrew Bynum added 13 and the Los Angeles Lakers used their twin 7-footers to dominate inside against the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning 87-79 Sunday in the opener of their playoff series.
DALLAS - Dirk Nowitzki scored 31 points, Jason Terry added 30 and the short-handed Dallas Mavericks won their fifth straight game, beating the Los Angeles Lakers 101-96 on Wednesday night.
CLEVELAND - The Cavaliers haven't lost their holiday spirit.
LOS ANGELES - Shannon Brown scored a career-high 22 points, Pau Gasol had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers scored the first 15 points of the fourth quarter Monday night for a 98-92 victory over the Orlando Magic in the first rematch of last season's NBA finals.
