Hip-hop mogul JAY-Z has dismissed reports he has visited incarcerated rapper SHYNE to offer him a record deal when he is released from a New York prison later this year (09 Shyne, real name Jamal Barrow, was convicted on charges of first degree assault and reckless endangerment in 2001, following a December 1999 shooting in Club New York, where he was partying with Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Jennifer Lopez.
