‘Inception’ leads Saturn Awards nominations

LONDON - Leonardo DiCaprio’s ‘Inception’ is leading the way at this year’s Saturn Awards - the Christopher Nolan film has earned nine nominations.
The thriller is up for the best sci-fi film honour, competing against ‘Hereafter’, ‘Iron Man 2′, ‘Never Let Me Go’, ‘Splice’ and ‘Tron: Legacy’, reports the Daily Star.
DiCaprio gets double nominee in the best actor category for both ‘Inception’ and ‘Shutter Island.’
He will go up against George Clooney (The American), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man 2) and Ryan Reynolds (Buried).
His Inception co-stars Ellen Page and Tom Hardy will also fight for top acting trophies.
‘Let Me In’ and ‘Tron: Legacy’ are the other major contenders after scoring seven nominations each for the prizegiving, which is hosted by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror.
In the TV categories, zombie apocalypse show ‘The Walking Dead’ leads with six nominations, while ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Lost’ and ‘Fringe’ score five.
The Awards are due to take place in Burbank, California in June 11. (ANI)
