Imran Khan’s Wedding Held

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- So what if Imran Khan’s professional life is not on a role these days? His personal life is definitely rocking, as the star is all set to start a new life with her girlfriend for seven years, Avantika Malik. The couple had a classy, yet a very inconspicuous wedding ceremony yesterday, at Aamir Khan’s Pali Hill residence in Mumbai.

The marriage registrar arrived at the venue at about 6:00 pm. It was a very private event, without too many stars from the B-world. Some of them were definitely the super stars of the groom’s own family, like Aamir Khan, with his wife Kiran Rao, his ex-wife, Reena Dutta and children Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Imran Khan’s second maternal uncle, Mansoor Khan, his wife Tina Khan, the groom’s granny and Nuzhat Khan’s sisters, Nikhat Khan and Farhat Khan were also present to bless the new couple. The lovebirds wore richly embellished wedding costumes, designed by none other than Manish Malhotra. Imran Khan wore a black high collar coat, while his bride wore a gray lehenga choli, with red border. After the marriage ceremony was over, the groom and the bride boarded an expensive black Porsche, decorated with white flags and flowers, with a “Just Married” sign, and rode to Imran Khan’s home. Later on, the couple treated their close friends and family at Taj Lands End Hotel.

Imran Khan’s wedding was also preceded by an elaborate sangeet ceremony at Avantika Malik’s farm house at Karjat in Navi Mumbai. This ceremony was star studded with other leading members of the Bollywood fraternity like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Boman Irani, Manish Malhotra, Simone Singh, Chetan Bhagat and his wife, Anusha Bhagat gracing the event.
