‘The King’s Speech’, ‘Black Swan’ lead BAFTAs nominations

LONDON - ‘The King’s Speech’ and ‘Black Swan’ have earned 15 nominations each for 2011 British Academy Film Awards.

Both films will compete in the Best Film and Best Director categories, reports the Daily Star.

Colin Firth (The King’s Speech) and Natalie Portman (Black Swan) are hot favorites to land the Best Actor and Best Actress awards.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s mind-bending thriller ‘Inception’ and British drama ‘Made in Dagenham’ followed with 14 entries each, while ‘The Social Network’ garnered 13.

The contenders will be narrowed down to five per category by 18 January.

The BAFTAs will take place in London on 13 February. (ANI)
