NEW YORK - Socialite Nicole Richie’s probation, stemming from a 2006 DUI, has been terminated early after her lawyer proved that she has met all of the court’s requirements.
According to TMZ, Shawn Chapman Holley, the same attorney who represents Lindsay Lohan, reportedly went before a judge with evidence that Richie, 29, has completed all that was required, the New York Daily News reported.
In June, Richie, who used to be known for partying alongside Paris Hilton, actually had her probation extended until February 2011, after she failed to attend court-ordered alcohol education classes.
Holley said at the time that Richie had trouble balancing the sessions while raising her two children, Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 1.
But now that Richie has made up the classes, and reportedly received a positive evaluation from the program, the judge agreed to end the probation more than a month early. (ANI)
