LONDON - Rapper 50 Cent is facing allegations of copyright infringement in a lawsuit by a little-known rapper.

Tyrone Simmons, also known as Caliber, filed the lawsuit in a Brooklyn, New York, federal court Wednesday and claimed that he bought the exclusive rights to use the instrumental beat of the star’s 2007 hit song “I Get Money”.

Simmons has accused 50 Cent of infringement by using the track, and he had also named the tune’s creator and several music companies in his suit. He is seeking unspecified damages.
