Dane Cook wants to take newly single Eva Longoria out for dinner

WASHINGTON - Dane Cook, who has been linked to Jessica Simpson in the past, is hoping he can give Eva Longoria a second chance at love.

Nine days after the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star filed for divorce from husband Tony Parker, Cook, used his Twitter account to test the waters with the actress.

“Is it too soon to ask Eva Longoria if she’s ready to date? I’d like to take her to dinner, a divorce and then a movie,” UsMagazine.com quoted him as saying on his Twitter profile.

Though Longoria, 35, has yet to respond to the comedian’s tweet, a source close to the actress said that she’s ready to move forward.

“She’s figuring out how to put her life back together,” said the insider. (ANI)
