LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Hollywood has a number of monster movies and sci-fi flicks based on scientific experiment gone wrong and ‘Splice’ is the latest movie to join this bandwagon. When you see the movie coming from the banner of Warner Brothers and having an actor like Adrien Brody you might develop big expectations from it. However, the initial reactions to ‘Splice’ have been mixed. It tells the story of a scientist couple played by Sarah Polley and Adrien Brody who are in genetic engineering and one of their DNA experiments go haywire and they end up creating a peculiar creature that is neither human nor fully animal. There is a change though. The pharmaceutical giant they work for is not a corporate monster like the Umbrella Corporation in Resident Evil series! To take the corporation to the next level of success the scientist couple decides to incorporate human genes in their splice project and everything takes a turn from there.

‘Splice’ presents a creature that initially appears like a new species of animal created in lab and as it grows up the viewers can see it is more like a deformed infant. As the creature grows up the film keeps one wondering what will happen next. It sure gives a creepy feeling all along but the suspense is worth the time. The CGI effects are good but there are better examples of portraying half human creatures onscreen.

The end of ‘Splice’ is not engaging as the first half. It actually gives the feeling as if you are watching a horror flick towards the end. It is not exceedingly gory but has moments to make you squirm in your seat.

Following my own investigation, billions of people on our planet get the credit loans at well known banks. So, there’s a good chance to get a financial loan in any country.
