LONDON - The release of Mel Gibson’s long-awaited comeback film ‘The Beaver’ has been postponed by six weeks.
The film, directed by Jodie Foster, was originally scheduled to open in limited release on March 23 (11), and then expand to more theatres on April 8 (11).
But on Monday (07Feb11), Summit Entertainment executives announced plans to push back the release date - the film will now come out in the U.S. on 6 May (11) and expand on 20 May (11), reports the Daily Star
Before that, though, ‘The Beaver’ will premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Texas next month (Mar11).
The film has been delayed numerous times due to Gibson’s domestic disputes with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. (ANI)
