MUMBAI - For the first time ever, a live audio concert will be accessible on mobile phones and the internet. Music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar is excited to be the pioneer in the show, which may put them in the Guinness Book of World Records.
“It’s a very exciting project. No one has ever performed all over the country simultaneously,” Vishal told IANS.
“Yesterday (Friday) we were talking to the Guinness Book of World Records regarding it. No one has ever done (this) anywhere,” he added.
Hungama Digital Media Entertainment took the initiative to launch the first time ever live audio concert on the mobile phone platform, partnering with Vishal and Shekhar Feb 9.
It will be a one-hour audio concert, but might exceed in time once it’s featured.
“We are going to perform for an hour but I am sure the feature content will go longer. It’s the first time in the world and we planned it very quickly,” Vishal said.
Thousands of fans from each and every part of the country can connect on mobile phones and those across the world can get close to their favourite artistes via the internet - simultaneously at a particular time.
Vishal maintains that they have prepared the songs on a lighter note, which make them different from those in a film album.
“There is no real format as such. We have worked on few of our popular songs that we usually perform to let the country recognise,” he said.
“We are putting it in a much lighter way, much different from how they are in films. We will sing our songs and if in between someone requests, we will jump into the requested song,” he added.
Asked if they are going to belt out some unreleased songs from their forthcoming projects, Vishal said: “We can’t offer them anything fresh because songs of our forthcoming projects are under contract, so we can’t disclose them.”
Vishal and Shekhar have recently delivered some excellent hits with movies like “Anjana Anjani”, “I Hate Luv Storys”, “Break ke Baad” and “Tees Maar Khan”.
The duo is too busy with their forthcoming projects but Vishal doesn’t rule out the possibility of a non-filmy album too.
“Right now we don’t have time. We are very busy with our film projects. May be one once we get time,” said Vishal.
