LONDON - Oscar-winning Indian music composer A.R. Rahman has been nominated for the British Academy of Films and Television Arts (BAFTA) award for original music in Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours”. This is the second time he is nominated for the BAFTA.
The composer, who lost out on the Golden Globe award for the film this year to “The Social Network”, has been nominated alongside Danny Elfman (”Alice In Wonderland”), John Powell (”How To Train Your Dragon”), Hans Zimmer (”Inception”) and Alexandre Desplat (”The King’s Speech”).
Last year, Rahman was in competition for his Oscar-winning music in “Slumdog Millionaire”, and he won the prestigious award.
