BERLIN - The Berlin Film Festival announced Wednesday plans for a homage to legendary Swedish director Ingmar Bergman.

The Berlinale said it was dedicating its Retrospektive section at next month’s festival to Bergman, who made more than 60 films, including “Scenes From a Marriage” and “Fanny and Alexander”.

Bergman died in 2007 at age 89.

Actresses Harriet Andersson, Gunnel Lindblom and Liv Ullmann, who worked closely with Bergman over the years, are to attend the festival to talk about his films and their work with the director.

Bergman received a string of awards for his work, including three Oscars.
