Adhineta slated for release on April 24

The Jagapatibabu-starrer ‘Adhineta’ directed by V Samudra, presented by Sadasivuni Ravi and produced by KK Radhamohan on the banner of Sri Satya Sai Arts is all set for release on April 24. This was disclosed to the media by the producer. He says, ‘In fact, our film was supposed to be released before the elections, but was delayed due to some technical problems. Moreover, we started the film with a low-budget but made it big to attract all classes of audiences. It would be another hit in the combination of Samudra and Jagapatibabu. Sraddha Das and Hamsanandini filled the glamour slot and their presence would be a special attraction. Ahuti Prasad and Paruchuri Gopalakrishna played the roles of politicians and competed with each other in performance. The climax shot in Khammam would remain a highlight.’ Neelima, Anandraj, Chalapati Rao, Prithvi and others are in the cast. Adhineta audio launched

The audio of ‘Adhineta’ directed by V Samudra, presented by Sadasivuni Ravi and produced by KK Radhamohan on the banner of Sri Satya Sai Arts with Jagapatibabu playing the lead role was launched through Aditya Music at an impressive function held at Prasad preview theatre recently. Nine directors, including B Gopal, VV Vinayak, N Shankar, Ramprasad, Anji Srinu, Jitender and Mahadev attended the function as guests. Besides these, writers Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao and Paruchuri Gopalakrishna also attended the function. Each guest released one song each and finally B Gopal released the audiocassettes while VV Vinayak unveiled the CDs. Addressing the function, Paruchuri Gopalakrishna says, ‘Generally, a film with commercial values could not give a message. But this has become possible in this movie. We worked for many films with politics in its backdrop. But for the first time, we worked for one such film for Jagapatibabu. We are sure that he would earn a different image with this film.’ Replying to this compliment, Jagapatibabu says, ‘I had a fear in the beginning on how to do a film with politics in its backdrop, as I don’t know anything about the politics. However, I took it as a challenge and done this movie. The producers made the film in three months with perfect planning. I am confident that the film would be a hit and the people would ensure success for this film as it had the commercial values as well. Sraddha Das, Hamsanandini and Neelima gave nice performance. Evaraina Epudaina release date postponed

The film Evaraina Epudaina with Varun Sandesh of Happy Days fame and Vimala Raman as the heroine was originally scheduled for release in the second week of April. But the release date has since been postponed. The reason for the postponement is that two songs still remain balance and they are now being filmed abroad. The post production works are expected to be over only by third week of April. The film may now be release in the last week of April or the first week of May. AVM is producing the film. - SAMPURN

Arundathi in Sinhalese

The film Arundathi is the biggest hit in recent times. The film starring Anushka and Sonu Sood is now well set to reach the milestone of 100 days at many centers in Andhra Pradesh. Producer Shyam Prasad Reddy has subbed the film in Tamil and released it recently. He also plans to dub the film in various Indian languages shortly. The film is now being dubbed in ‘Sinhalese’ and will be released in Sri Lanka. The producer is yet to decide whether to dub the film in Hindi or remake it. - SAMPURN

Nenunna Nee Kosam begins shoot

Shooting of a suspense-thriller called ‘Nenunna… Nee Kosam’ was launched at Sri Anjaneyaswami temple in Borabanda recently. The film is being produced by Nanda Kishore on the banner of SS Film Factory. Rajendraprasad, who worked as choreographer for several language films is making his debut as director through this movie. MP Anjankumar Yadav gave the clap, while DSP Sambaiah switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on Rajendra Prasad, Nandakishore, Premika, Naaz, Jaara, Jasmine and others, under the honorary direction of Chinna Srisailam Yadav. Director says, ‘Whoever it may be, the lovers should have the help of God. So, we chose the title to suit this point. I worked for over 100 films as choreographer. The film is coming up with a good subject with elements like love and sentiment, besides it would be a suspense thriller with a touch of entertainment.’ Producer Nandakumar says, ‘We planned the shooting in Visakhapatnam, Araku, Paderu and their surrounding areas.’ Presenter of the film, neeraja says, ‘We produced ‘Madhumati’ on our banner earlier. Balu bags Tana Lifetime Achievement Award

Noted playback singer, Padma Shri SP Balasubrahmanyam was selected for the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA). The TANA would organise World Telugu Conferences once in every two years. The celebrations are slated this year from July 2 and would continue for three days at Rosemont Convention Centre at Chicago. The singer would receive the award at the function. This year, Junior NT Rama Rao, Charmme and other young artistes are going to participate in the function. SP Balasubrahmanyam is well known as a singer, artiste and dubbing artiste. He sang over 40,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. The audio of the film ‘Romeo’ with Aryan Rajesh in the lead role and Sri Hari playing an important role was released in Hyderabad recently. Producer says, ‘We have already completed the talkie part shooting and are presently canning a song on Sarwanand and Survin Chawla at Kulu. The schedule was planned from March 25 to 29. After the return of the unit from there, another song would be choreographed on Mohanbabu with which we will wrap up the shooting. We will launch the audio as soon as possible.’ Director says, ‘In order to prove the very presence of a person, he needs a nice family. Police Police to hit screen in May second half

Produced by Chandu on the banner of Pinnacle Pictures Pvt Ltd., ‘Police Police’, introducing Manmohan as director with Sriram and Pruthviraj as heroes and Kamalini Mukherjee and Sanjana as heroines is all set for release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages in the second half of May. Presently works related to the Tamil version are in progress. Director Manmohan, speaking about the film, says, ‘It is the story of two police officers. In order to reach the target they both choose different paths. We are debating in detail about the pros and cons in the police department. Chiranjeevis House warming ceremony in Tirupathi on April 2

Megastar Chiranjeevi is now contesting for the assembly from Tirupathi. He has decided to take a house on rent and stay there for some time. The reason is that he is being accused as an outsider by his political opponents. So Chiranjeevi has taken a house on rent in the Khadi colony. The two-storied building has been taken on lease for a period of two months. The rent is one lakh rupees per month. Bhavani IPS completes shooting

Shooting of ‘Bhavani IPS’ directed and produced by G Kicha in association with M Shagul Hameed on the banner of K Films International with Sneha playing the title role was completed recently. Speaking on the occasion, cameraman K Bhupati says, ‘I am sure that the film would earn me a good name as an efficient technician on the lines of ‘Antahpuram’ earlier. Director Kicha would also earn a good name and become very familiar to the Telugu audiences. We struggled a lot in bringing out the film technically.’ Director cum producer says, ‘This is the first ever film I directed in Telugu language. Sneha is playing the role of an IPS Officer. It is a totally different character when compared to her earlier film career. It is a never before role for her. We shot for about 48 days in and around Hyderabad. There are a total of five songs and Dina gave melodious tunes to all of them. Rajanikant gives clap for Chaitram

Shooting of a film directed by Raju Vupati and produced by Vijay on the banner of Rakesh Circuit with a debutant Surya as hero was launched at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad recently. Super Star Rajanikant attended the inaugural and gave the clap, while popular cinematographer Sekhar V Joseph switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on Surya and Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, under the honorary direction of popular director N Shankar. Speaking on the occasion, the producer says, ‘We will continue the shooting without any break from now onwards and it would continue till May 15. We planned to shoot the film in Karamchedu, Film City, Pollachi and Hyderabad.’ Director says, ‘In ‘Chaitram’ the plants start growing. Similarly the love story in our film begins in the same month and grows. We have winter, summer and rainy season. Likewise, our love story will have three stages like school days, college days and marriage. Ooha Chitram to hit screen in May second week

Vamsikrishna and Kaveri Jha are playing the lead roles in ‘Ooha Chitram’, presented by Dr Peda Veerraju and produced by Paidibabu on the banner of Likhit Arts introducing Satya as director. Post-production works are nearing completion and presently the film is in DTS mixing stage. Producer says, ‘The first copy would be ready by the end of April. We have plans to release the film in the second week of May. Our film would be different from routine and will definitely attract the youth as well as class audiences. Director Satya was able to narrate the story in a novel manner. Basically, the film is a romantic thriller. We are introducing Siva R Nandigam as music director. There are three songs and he gave melodious tunes to all of them. Not only the songs, he showed his prowess in re-recording. First copy of Sweet Heart is ready

Directed by Akash and produced by SJ Ratnavat on the banner of Devi Movies, ‘Sweet Heart’ with Akash himself playing the hero and Daisy Bopanna as heroine had completed shooting and other post-production formalities recently. The first copy of the film is also ready now. Addressing the media, Akash says, ‘We watched the first copy and all of us felt happy for bringing out a nice film. I was able mould the story that was in my mind exactly on the celluloid with the complete cooperation from the producers. Even we did not compromise in post-production activity and finished it in an efficient way, though we took a little more time to complete it with a view to give a quality film. The audio had already proved a hit and we are sure that the film would also be a big hit.’ Music director Nandanraj says, ‘Everyone eagerly looked how would be the debut direction of Akash. Once we completed the re-recording, everyone watched the film and felt very happy. Even I personally felt thriller. He did a very nice job.’ Producer says, ‘The film came out well. Especially the movie would definitely entertain the youth. Though this is the debut venture, Akash brilliantly brought out the movie. In fact, we started the film as a low-budget movie. Ananda Thandavam, directed by AR Gandhi Krishna and produced by Oscar Ravichandran with Tamanna and debutant hero Siddhartha in the lead is being released through SVR Media in the State. The producer is making efforts to release the film in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. Speaking to the media Sobharani of SVR Media says, ‘We are making efforts to release the film on April 10. The post-production work is in final stages. Presently final mixing works are progressing.’ Rukmini is playing another heroine. Viswas is making his debut as hero through this movie, while Rupa Kaur and Lahari are playing the heroines. Varikuppala Yadagiri scored tunes for the flick. A Ranesh Prasad of Prasad Labs released the audiocassettes while YS Madanmohan Reddy, brother of Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, unveiled the audio CDs. Speaking on the occasion the producer says, ‘I have produced many action and mass films in my 15-year career. Tamil film Subrahmanyapuram in Telugu

The hit Tamil film ‘Subrahmanyapuram is now being dubbed into Telugu and it has been titled as ‘Ananthapuram 1980’. The Telugu version is being produced by M Ranganath on the Simhapuri Talkies banner. Colours Swathi is the heroine in the revenge drama. Sasi Kumar is the director. It is reliably learnt that Venkatesh would involve in the shooting of ‘Eenadu’ with Kamal Hassan in the lead role. It is worth mentioning here that Kamal Hassan himself is producing the film, which is the remake of a successful Bollywood movie ‘A Wednesday’. After ‘Eenadu’, another film is in the offing for Venkatesh under the direction of Sreenu Vaitla. Especially, he highlighted the relationship between brothers in an attractive manner. Our hero Jagapatibabu would appear in a handsome family role and in fact, that was the way his fans in general and the women in particular want to watch him. It is not just the money, but the family and human relations are important is the message we are going to give through this movie.
