FDCI forms new board, Sethi remains president

NEW DELHI - Sunil Sethi will continue as the president of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the country’s apex fashion body, which has reconstituted its board.

The new members on the board are designers Anju Modi, David Abraham, J.J. Valaya, Rohit Bal, Rohit Gandhi, Suneet Verma, Tarun Tahiliani and Wendell Rodricks, an FDCI release said Tuesday.

Abhishek Gupta, Gautam Rakha, Namarata Joshipura, Niki Mahajan, Paras Bairoliya, Poonam Bhagat, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Varun Bahl are the board’s new associate members.

FDCI represents over 300 designers and is known for organising the premier business-to-business event Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), as also the Van Heusen Men’s Fashion Week and a couture week in Delhi and Mumbai respectively.
