MUMBAI - The small-screen actors like Iqbal Khan and Nandish Sandhu have something “special” on their minds this Valentine’s Day — they are either planning or are looking forward to special surprises.

While some are planning to pamper their better halves with gifts and a romantic outing, others wish to take time off from their busy shooting schedules to spend time with their loved ones.

The single ones are hoping to find their love this year.

Here’s what some actors have to say:

Iqbal Khan: “Valentine’s Day is just like special time set aside to remember courtship, share special feelings, and recommit for the years to come. So, of course, we (my wife and me) will plan something special.”

Vishal Karwal: “On Valentine’s Day, I will make my girlfriend feel special. Not that I don’t do it otherwise but this day has its own significance. Also, I am planning to gift a nice watch and a purse to my girlfriend. I celebrate love every single day and for me this day lasts 365 days in a year.”

Rashmi Desai: “I am totally excited about Valentine’s Day and waiting for my Mr. Special to surprise me with gifts and cards. As I will be shooting on that day, I definitely hope to celebrate it as a Valentine’s week by planning something exciting everyday. For me, love grows every single day and it’s a feeling that can’t be expressed in mere words.”

Nandish Sandhu: “In case I don’t have a shoot that day, I would love to take my lady love far away from the city. Deciding on a special gift is difficult, but I will ensure that she feels special.”

Sushant Singh Rajput: “I will be spending my day shooting for both my shows — “Pavitra Rishta” and “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4″. So, it will be good” (as he would get to be with his rumoured girlfriend, actress Ankita Lokhande).

Pratyusha Banerjee: “I am single but definitely looking for that someone special who will make my life worthwhile. This day reminds me of Madhuri’s film ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and I truly believe that ’someone somewhere is made for you’. Since I am single, I will pamper myself by shopping for special things, chocolates, teddy bear that would bring a smile on my face.”

Shashank Vyas: “Valentine’s Day is not just about sharing it with someone who you love, but sharing it with someone who has been an integral part of your life. I plan to be with my friends who have been my help and support. Hope I find someone for myself this year… will keep you informed.”

Sargun Mehta: “The beauty of Valentine’s Day is that it is one special occasion that is not specific to one religion or race. Though I hate the way in which it has been commercialised in recent times, you cannot deny that there is something special about having one particular day dedicated to telling people who you care about, just how much they mean to you.”
