Jules Asner’s Husband Steven Soderbergh Sued

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Oscar winning director Steven Soderbergh recently hit the headlines, this time not for any film but for a controversy that stirred up after an Australian woman named Frances Lawrencina Anderson recently filed paternity lawsuit against him. The lady on Wednesday, filed her lawsuit at a Manhattan court, New York where she has stated that the “Ocean’s Eleven” director who is already married to writer cum journalist Jules Asner is the father of her infant daughter.

Frances Lawrencina Anderson said that her daughter Pearl Button Anderson who was born on August 30, 2010 was fathered by Steven Soderbergh. She claimed that they had sexual intercourse on various occasions while the director was in Sydney where Frances Lawrencina Anderson resides. The director had been to the Australian city about a year ago for directing the stage show “Tot Mom”. The production of the show had run from December 2009 to February 2010. It was during that phase that she indulged in the sexual acts with the director. Frances Lawrencina Anderson, however has not stated any specific date fro her conception saying that it could have any possible day during the entire period when the married director made love to her. Steven Soderbergh is married to Jules Asner since 2003.

Before tying the knot with Jules Asner, Steven Soderbergh was earlier married to Betsy Brantley from whom he also has a daughter. The paternity lawsuit now demands the director to legally accept Pearl Button Anderson as his child and also take up the responsibility of bearing her financial expenses. Interestingly Frances Lawrencina Anderson has stated that Steven Soderbergh has accepted that he is the father of the baby and also underwent a DNA test to confirm the paternity.
