LONDON - It’s official: Jon Bon Jovi is set to return to the big screen for his role in ‘Valentine’s Day’ follow-up ‘New Year’s Eve’.

The rocker had said last month that he didn’t wish to perform in front of the camera again, following roles in ‘Pay It Forward’ and ‘Moonlight and Valentino’.

“(Acting is) so far down the list of things to do these days, because the music has been so great. I’ve got other philanthropic actions and business stuff going on. So it’s not that appealing,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling Larry King at the time.

However, it doesn’t appear as if Bon Jovi is retiring any time soon - he’s signed up for a role in director Garry Marshall’s star-studded romantic comedy.

According to a foreign news agency, Bon Jovi is going to play a rock star who once dumped Halle Berry’s character in the movie, which will follow the lives of a group of New Yorkers on New Year’s Eve. (ANI)
