Telugu cinema veteran Nageshwara Rao gets Padma Vibhushan

NEW DELHI - Veteran Telugu actor A. Nageshwara Rao, who has worked in more than 250 movies in his about seven-decade-long career, was named for the Padma Vibhushan, the nation’s second highest civilian award, on the eve of Republic Day Tuesday.

The 86-year-old has worked in mythological and social dramas and some of his well-known movies are “Tenali Rama Krishna”, “Kalidasu”, “MayaBazaar”, “Missamma”, “Dasara Bullodu”, “Prem Nagar” and “Premabhishekam”.

He is the recipient of Dada Saheb Phalke, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri as well.
