LONDON - Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson might get an invitation to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.

“The invitations are being sent out next month and the list is almost finalised. Sarah’s invitation was at William’s insistence,” the Daily Mail quoted a Palace insider as saying.

“William recognises that she is the mother of Beatrice and Eugenie and still close to his uncle Andrew.

“William also knows that Sarah was a good friend of his mother Diana and, even though they fell out before her death, they shared a lot over the years,” the insider said.

The Duchess, who divorced from Prince Andrew in 1996, will accompany her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to the nuptials on April 29.

Fergie had received a staggering 28 lucrative offers from American TV networks to commentate on the wedding. But her continued refusal to talk about the Royals has worked in her favour.

“Despite the embarrassing mess Sarah embroiled herself in by trying to sell access to Andrew, she has never spoken publicly about the breakdown of her marriage or spilled the beans on the Royal Family,” said the insider. (ANI)
