WASHINGTON - Revlon bosses have agreed to donate more than 250, 000 dollars to fund renovations at a Los Angeles shelter for domestic abuse victims, thanks to Halle Berry’s efforts.

The actress, a long-time supporter and volunteer at the Jenessee Center, persuaded the cosmetics firm to fund the facility when the shelter bosses asked her if she could help them with a costly makeover.

Revlon has agreed to pay for half the 500,000-dollars (333,300 dollars) renovation as a gesture to Berry for being the company’s spokesmodel for the past 15 years, reports Contactmusic.

The Oscar winner has insisted that the help she has been able to give the shelter meant more to her than any movie she has starred in.

On CNN’s Christmas special, ‘Big Stars, Big Giving’, she had described how her crusade to help domestic violence victims came from watching her mother being abused by her father. (ANI)
