Kamal Hassan promotes ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ in Kochi

KOCHI - South Indian superstar Kamal Hassan promoted Tamil film ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ (cupid love) here over the weekend.

The film is written by Kamal Hassan and produced and directed by Udhayanidhi Stalin and K.S Ravikumar. Besides Kamal Hassan, the film stars R. Madhvan and Trisha Krishnan among others.

“Let’s hope. I know you all have been kind to me. I am not asking you to be kinder, just maintain your kindness and we will try to do our level best every time we come to you,” said Kamal Hassan.

Hassan, who is playing the role of a military officer in the film, said that ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ is a romantic comedy film.

“The heroine is an actress in the film; Madhvan is very rich business magnet with lot of multibillion dollar companies. So, that is their character. And Kunjan Sahab and Manju madam are playing Kunjan Kuru and Manju Kuru i.e Mr. and Mrs., pair of producers who want to produce a film. He is a producer with 30 hit films to his credit according to the character,” said Hassan.

“So, he is one of the characters and my friend Mr. Ramesh Arvind is partner in a security agency that hour-one hour he is running. He has a little problem, he is hospitalized and that’s all the story goes,” he added.

The film has been shot in various foreign locations such as Rome, Venice, Paris and Barcelona.

Another highlight is that the major portion of the film was shot at the grand and loftiest ‘Mediterranean Cruise’ for 15 days.
