Depp moved by two Golden Globe nominations

LONDON - Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp was “touched” to receive two nominations for next year’s Golden Globe Awards because he “certainly didn’t expect” the honours.

The star is tipped twice in the Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) category, for his lead roles in Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland” and new film “The Tourist” and Depp admits he was surprised when the nominations were announced Tuesday, revealing, “I certainly didn’t expect two nominations in the same category, but if that’s what they saw, I guess that’s what they saw. I’m very touched,” he said.

“It’s always very sweet and very nice to be acknowledged for your work,” he added.
