LONDON - Brit model Kate Moss has sparked fury by slamming her hometown Croydon as ‘rough’.

The 36-year-old supermodel said she hardly ever goes back to the south London borough of Croydon where she grew up.

“It’s so rough. My dad was in the pub the other day and somebody got shot,” the Daily Star quoted Moss as telling Stylist magazine.

But Kate, who now lives in a 9 million pounds townhouse in posh Maida Vale, north London, has infuriated Croydon residents.

Builder John Hammond, said: “She’s obviously forgotten her roots as she’s travelled between Paris, New York and Milan.

“It’s very sad she doesn’t give the old place some credit.”

Fashion student Sarah Smyth, said: “Where you come from helps define who you are. I love Kate, but maybe she should remember that.” (ANI)
