WASHINGTON - Actress Diane Keaton has spoken out about her decision not to marry and how in some way she regrets it.

Keaton, 64, also said that one of the reasons she did not consider marriage was because she was afraid of men, and having to compromise.

“I think that the reason I didn’t get married was because I would have to compromise too much,” CBS News quoted her as saying.

“I think I took my cue from my mother there. I didn’t want to have that. I wanted to try more adventurous things for myself. And I think that I didn’t know how.

“And I was also afraid of men. Oh yeah. I was afraid of men, yes. I was always being turned down or overlooked. And you know, it was hard for me to kind of compromise. I think I wasn’t really marriage material,” she added. (ANI)
