Jessica Simpson denies ‘flipping out’ about ex-husband’s engagement

NEW YORK - Jessica Simpson has dismissed reports that she is “flipping out” about her ex-husband Nick Lachey’s engagement to his girlfriend of four years.

In a radio interview, Simpson said her romance with Lachey had ended long ago and that she was happy he found a new love with TV host Vanessa Minnillo.

“I am extremely, extremely happy for him. I don’t know where those rumors came from,” the New York Post quoted her as saying.

“Our relationship was over a really long time ago, so it would be nice if everyone could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa. I really wish them nothing but the best,” she added.

Simpson and Lachey filed for divorce in December 2005.

Simpson is currently dating former NFL football player Eric Johnson. (ANI)
