Naomi Campbell denies lying under oath in perfume case

LONDON - Naomi Campbell’s rep has dismissed claims that the supermodel lied under oath while testifying in a legal battle with her former agent.

Campbell’s former rep, Carole White, and executives at cosmetics marketing company Moodform Mission are suing the beauty for allegedly backing out of a fragrance deal with the firm and failing to meet obligations to promote the range, reports the Daily Star.

In the lawsuit, White accuses the catwalk star of canceling a promotional appearance for her fragrance line in Australia in 2000, because she didn’t want to walk down a flight of stairs.

According to the New York Post, a lawyer representing Moodform has now filed papers in New York asking for the Manhattan District Attorney to consider prosecuting Campbell for perjury after she allegedly lied under oath in her affidavit.

However, Campbell’s attorney has told the newspaper the model “unequivocally” denies the accusation.

Campbell is counter-suing White, claiming she signed the fragrance deal without knowing the full details and accusing the agent of concealing her role as a co-director at Moodform. (ANI)
