LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- Haters might hate it, as it would prick them to the core, but his fans and well wishers would think that he has just done it for the best, just like the celebrated tag line “Just Do It”. LeBron James, in his new commercial of Nike not just endorsed the Nike sneakers, but also seemed to have taken the opportunity to hit back his critics, with the punchy, accusative, arrogant and satirical elements in the ad.

One of its critics, a well known US magazine, calls it as “Best LeBron James commercial yet,” while another admired it as “stunningly, masterfully, boldly” emoted by Nike. LeBron James, in the ad, seems like a rebel, who is happy at the end of the day for whatever he has done in his life, and that probably includes his decision of leaving Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Miami Heat, which was met with much criticism. The copy of the ad consists of certain puns and dialogues, that may apparently seem humble. However, they are not actually so, when blended with the attitude LeBron James. He says things like, “What should I do? Should I admit that I’ve made mistakes?” followed by “Should I be who you want me to be?” (for those who condemned him). Not that he wants your suggestion, he just wants his critics to keep shut and establish that he has done what he wanted to and for that, he owes no explanations. “I am not a role model,” simply mimicked the Charles Barkley ad.

This ad is full of attitude and targets those who want to think like LeBron James. Those who do not care and is self content. The ad, although liked my many, it has been criticized too, by some, who called it “Creepy” and attempts to sell products on personal grounds. The ad has all the elements that is required for a Nike commercial. Therefore, it would do good for the company, if not for LeBron James.
