MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Bollywood leading lady Deepika Padukone has opted out of the ace director Vishal Bhardwaj’s next venture. Despite having expressed her excitement about working with the highly-acclaimed director for the very first time, it has been reported that the actress has moved out of the project. Deepika Padukone was reportedly roped in to play the female lead in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next project “Dream Sequence” but the “Love Aaj Kal” star would no longer part of the forthcoming flick supposedly due to unavailability of dates.

Although the 24-year-old actress was supposedly immensely excited and upbeat about the prospect of working with Vishal Bhardwaj, things failed to transpire as expected as the dates that the director wanted clashed with one of her projects “Desi Boys.” Sources have revealed that Vishal Bhardwaj wanted dates early next year for his upcoming venture, but Deepika Padukone was not able to provide it due to prior commitments. However, rumor has it that one of the main reasons which prompted the Bollywood leading lady to say no to “Dream Sequence” was the fact that actor Saif Ali Khan who was earlier cast her opposite, opted out of the project. Insiders say that Vishal Bhardwaj had approached Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan to replace Saif Ali Khan but by then Deepika Padukone had already decided to walk out of the project.

Meanwhile, a source has revealed to the media that there is no animosity between Vishal Bhardwaj and Deepika Padukone over her decision to opt out of the venture. The source further added that both of them have promised to work with each other in the near future.
